she rolls - [taxi - pt 6]

The taxi project moves forward - literally!  In episode six we employ the local talents, skills and experience of one mister Benji Jr. of Ed's Place here in Lancaster, PA.  When it comes to major frame alterations I am happy to call on the experts.  Attaining appropriate drive line angles required positioning the motor somewhere that conflicted with a critical vehicle frame member.  Once the motor and transmission were set up where they needed to be, we could fabricate the mounting brackets.  After that, the vehicle should be mechanically sound, and even somewhat drive-able.  With the help of a 12-volt battery and a pair of jumper cables, we drive the taxi around on its own power for the first time.
